Just like tending to a garden, building a great team takes care, dedication, and the right environment to thrive. We’re excited to introduce Nicky and Darren, who bring fresh energy, expertise, and passion to our business.
Meet our new team members
Nicky - accounts & administration
With a long-standing passion for numbers and problem-solving, Nicky’s journey in accounts started as an office assistant and quickly grew into a career she loves. Now part of Penguin Leisure, she thrives in a fast-paced role that blends finance with administration, all while supporting a family-run, independent business in the swimming pool industry.
Outside of work, Nicky stays active with power walking, baking, and teaching yoga. And when it’s time to unwind? She’s spending time with her beloved cat, Tilly!
Darren - pool maintenance & operations
With a passion for swimming and water safety, Darren started his career as a Swim Teacher and Lifeguard Trainer, believing that swimming is a vital life skill. Over the last three years, he’s taken on a commercial management role, overseeing multiple pools and ensuring their smooth operation through planned preventative maintenance.
Now at Penguin Leisure, Darren is expanding his expertise, learning the technical side of pool servicing and maintenance. He loves working on different pool designs and seeing the creativity behind each build.
Outside of work, you’ll find Darren enjoying a game of badminton or diving into the world of computer games!
